The Director General of Foreign Trade has allocated a quota of 8,606 Metric Tonnes Raw Value (MTRV) of raw cane sugar for export to the USA under the Tariff Rate Quota (TRQ) scheme for the US fiscal year 2025. According to Notification No. 3/2015-20, exports of sugar (HS Code 17010000) to the USA under this scheme are permitted without restriction, provided conditions are met. Certificates of Origin for preferential exports will be issued by the Additional Director General of Foreign Trade in Mumbai, based on recommendations from the Agriculture and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA). APEDA will manage the quota allocation, and all reporting requirements will adhere to previous notifications. This public notice establishes the export quota for the period from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025.
