The Central Government, exercising its authority under various sections of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016, has decided to amend the Cotton Bales (Quality Control) Order, 2023. This amendment, known as the Cotton Bales (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2023, will become effective on the 27th of August, 2025. The amendment specifically changes the date of enforcement of the original order to this new date.
