The appellant-accused's appeal was partly allowed after the Court reviewed the impugned order granting bail. The original order had stated that bail would be implemented after six months, even though the Court had concluded that the appellant was entitled to bail.
The Court found that postponing the implementation of bail violated the fundamental rights under Article 21 of the Constitution. As a result, the Court deleted the phrase “but after six months from today” from the order. The appellant had already been granted interim bail, which would continue until the trial's conclusion.
