Appointment of New Members to the Council of Architecture.

The Central Government has appointed five architects to the Council of Architecture (CoA), effective December 28, 2023. These appointments, made under the Architects Act of 1972, are for a term of three years or until successors are elected. The new members, elected by the Indian Institute of Architects (IIA), represent different regions of India:
- Northern Region: Ar. Kamla Kant Asthana, Lucknow
- Southern Region: Ar. B. R. Mohan, Bangalore
- Western Region: Ar. Nilesh Diliprao Chavan, Nashik
- Central Region: Ar. Sanjeev Bumb, Indore
- Eastern Region: Ar. Swopnadutta Mohanty, Bhubaneswar
