Authorization for Aadhaar Authentication by UPSC for Examination and Recruitment.

The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, with authorization from the Central Government, has notified that the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is permitted to use Aadhaar authentication voluntarily. This will be for verifying candidates' identities during registration on the ‘One Time Registration’ portal and at various stages of examinations or recruitment tests. UPSC is required to comply with all relevant provisions of the Aadhaar Act, associated rules, and directives from the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).
