Bail Granted on Personal Bond in Abduction Allegation.

In M. Jegan Moorthy v/s The Inspector of Police, the petitioner's counsel argues that their client was not found with the abductee, who has since been recovered. They claim the applicant was implicated due to malafide reasons, asserting he had no part in the abduction. The counsel also contends that any interaction the applicant had with one of the involved parties was merely for dispute resolution. Crucially, it's argued that custodial interrogation is not necessary in this case.

The court acknowledges the need to consider the matter and has issued a notice. In the interim, if the petitioner is arrested in connection with FIR No. 101/2025 (renumbered as C.R. No. 1/2025) at PS Thiruvalangadu, they are to be released on a personal bond of Rs. 25,000/-. This release is conditional on the petitioner cooperating with the investigation and not threatening witnesses or tampering with evidence.
