A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) constable's dismissal for unauthorized absence was upheld by the court. The constable, after taking leave, failed to report for duty or respond to repeated notices, claiming medical issues for himself and his daughter. Despite presenting medical documentation, the court emphasized the constable's duty to respond to the CRPF's communications, especially given the disciplined nature of the force. 

The court found no procedural errors or violations of natural justice in the departmental inquiry that led to the dismissal, nor did it deem the punishment disproportionate. The court acknowledged the constable's medical claims but stressed that these should have been presented during the departmental inquiry process. Ultimately, the court declined to interfere with the dismissal order.
