Central Government Introduces Changes to Council of Architecture Election Process.
20 August 2024
The Central Government has amended the Council of Architecture Rules, 1973 to change the nomination process for elections to the Council. The amendments replace the phrase "to file the nomination to contest the election" with "to be nominated by," indicating that nominations will now be made by a specific entity or body. Additionally, the scrutiny process will now focus on the individuals who have been nominated, rather than the nomination forms themselves. These changes aim to introduce a more structured and controlled nomination process.
