Two women, Sonali Sharma and Nisha Rana, were embroiled in a legal battle regarding the selection of an Anganwadi Worker position. Sonali Sharma was initially chosen, but Nisha Rana contested the decision.
The controversy stemmed from Sonali Sharma's claim that she wasn't informed about Nisha Rana's appeal or given a chance to be heard. Additionally, she argued that the process to reverse her selection lacked fairness.
Nisha Rana, on the other hand, contended that if Sonali Sharma's selection was indeed overturned, she (Nisha Rana) should be considered next in line for the position.
The court intervened, acknowledging the merit of Sonali Sharma's argument regarding the lack of proper procedure. The judge ruled that a fair hearing must be conducted, allowing both Sonali Sharma and Nisha Rana to present their cases. This ensures a transparent and just selection process for the crucial Anganwadi Worker role.
