In a prolonged and contentious dispute of Bhawana Singh Vs Ankan Rai & Another concerning the visitation rights of a minor son, the court has acknowledged the unwavering positions of both parents, who are practicing advocates—the father in Kolkata and the mother in Varanasi.

Recognizing the heightened emotions and the potential long-term impact on the child's upbringing, the court has decided to refer the matter for mediation. Former Delhi High Court Judge, Ms. Justice Mukta Gupta, has been requested to facilitate a resolution. The court believes her extensive experience will help the parties reach an amicable settlement that prioritizes the child's best interests.

In a gesture of goodwill, the husband has offered to cover his wife's travel expenses and will transfer an initial amount of Rs. 25,000/- to her within three days.

The court has scheduled the next hearing in four weeks and has directed the Registry to promptly inform Ms. Justice Mukta Gupta of this order.
