The amendment to the Customs Act, 1962 expands a previous notification to include units in Special Economic Zones (SEZs) alongside Export Oriented Units (EOUs). Effective from July 1, 2024, it mandates that SEZ units comply with specified shipping and export document requirements for goods manufactured or exported from these zones.
