Extension of Public Utility Service Designation for Mineral Oil and Related Industries.

The Central Government has extended the designation of certain services related to mineral oil production and distribution as a public utility service. Originally declared as such for six months starting February 28, 2024, this designation has been extended for an additional six months, beginning August 28, 2024. This extension is granted under the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, to ensure the continued provision of these essential services in the public interest.
