The Central Government has extended the designation of industries involved in alumina and aluminum manufacturing, and bauxite mining as public utility services. Initially declared for six months starting February 4, 2024, this status is now extended for an additional six months from August 4, 2024, under the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947.
