The Government of India has declared its intention to acquire land for the "Rehabilitation and Up-gradation of Nandakumar-Contai-Digha-Chandaneswar Road" under the National Highways Act, 1956. This acquisition covers specific segments of NH 116B in Purba Medinipur, West Bengal. The notification, published in the official Gazette and newspapers, confirms that no objections were received. 

The Central Government has now finalized the acquisition, making the land vested in the government free from encumbrances. The schedule lists the land details, including a specific plot owned by Santosh Kumar Bhuniya.
