The Government of India has announced its intention to acquire land rights for the installation of a natural gas pipeline between Guwahati, Numaligarh, and Dimapur, as part of the North-East Natural Gas Pipeline Grid Project in Assam. This action is in accordance with the Petroleum and Minerals Pipelines (Acquisition of Right of User in Land) Act, 1962. The land in question, detailed in the Schedule, is located in the Jorhat district of Assam, specifically in the Barhola circle and Bacha Gaon village, covering specific Dag numbers and areas. Interested parties have 21 days from the notification's publication in the Gazette of India to submit written objections to the acquisition to M/s Indradhanush Gas Grid Limited.
