Government of India Declares Land Acquisition for NH45A Project in Tamil Nadu.

The Government of India has issued a notification concerning the acquisition of land for the improvement of NH45A, specifically for the widening and maintenance of the highway between Km. 29 and Km. 67 in Cuddalore district, Tamil Nadu. This notification, published in the Gazette of India on June 20, 2024, follows the National Highway Act of 1956.
The notification was also published in “Daily Thanthi” and “The New Indian Express” on July 12, 2024. After reviewing and addressing objections submitted under Section 3-C of the Act, the competent authority reported to the Central Government. Consequently, the Central Government has declared that the land specified in the attached schedule will be acquired for the aforementioned purposes.
As per Section 3D of the Act, this land, listed in the schedule and located in Pudukkadai village, Cuddalore Taluk, Tamil Nadu, will now be owned by the Central Government, free from any encumbrances. The schedule details five plots of private dry land totaling 0.0432 hectares, with the names of the current landowners provided.
