Jammu and Kashmir Budgetary Appropriation Act, 2024.

The Jammu and Kashmir Appropriation (No. 3) Act, 2024, passed by Parliament and assented to by the President on August 13, 2024, authorizes the allocation of funds from the Consolidated Fund of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for the financial year 2024-25. The Act approves the expenditure of Rs. 1,51,525.77 crore for various services and purposes.

 

 

The Act specifies that the funds will be used as follows:

- General Administration Department: Rs. 6,04,76,18,000
- Home Department: Rs. 6,515,13,55,000
- Planning Department: Rs. 674,22,10,000
- Other departments, including Education, Health, and Power Development, receive substantial allocations for both revenue and capital expenditures.
The total expenditure includes both revenue and capital expenditures across numerous departments, with the Finance Department receiving the highest allocations. The Act ensures that these funds are appropriated for the specified services and purposes throughout the financial year.
