NH17 Widening in Goalpara: Land Acquisition Notice.

The Central Government, under the powers granted by section 3A(1) of the National Highways Act, 1956, has declared its intention to acquire land for the purpose of constructing, maintaining, managing, and operating National Highway 17 (NH17) in Goalpara district, Assam. The proposed land acquisition covers a stretch from Km. 99.930 to Km. 143.680 of NH17. Affected landowners or persons interested in the land can raise objections within 21 days of the notification's publication in the Official Gazette.
Objections should be addressed in writing to the Competent Authority (Addl. Deputy Commissioner, Goalpara) and will be heard before a final decision is made. Details of the land, including plots and areas, are available for inspection at the Competent Authority’s office. The schedule of affected land, including both government and private properties, is listed with descriptions, plot numbers, land types, and areas in hectares.
