In response to findings published in the Gazette of India on June 14, 2024, the Central Government has decided to continue imposing a countervailing duty on "Atrazine Technical" imported from China. The duty is based on concerns that ending the current duty could lead to subsidization and harm the domestic industry.

Effective immediately, the countervailing duty will be set as follows for imports:

1. For goods from Xiangshui Zhongshan Biotechnology Co., Ltd.: 9.28% of the CIF value.

2. For other producers in China PR: 11.94% of the CIF value.

3. For goods from any country other than China PR, imported from China PR: 11.94% of the CIF value.

This duty will be in effect for five years unless changed earlier and will be calculated based on the exchange rate specified in relevant government notifications.
