Supreme Court Urges Expeditious Disposal of Execution Proceedings in L.K. Vashisht Case.
04 September 2025
The Supreme Court declined to entertain fresh miscellaneous applications filed by L.K. Vashisht after earlier rejecting his plea for contempt proceedings on 25 November 2024. However, considering that the Court’s main order dated 19 March 2024 had directed the judgment debtor to pay the buyer (the applicant) within six months, and given the applicant’s advanced age, the Court requested the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Panchkula, to dispose of the execution proceedings at the earliest.
It reiterated its earlier direction that the matter should preferably be concluded within four months. All pending applications were disposed of accordingly.
