On August 1, 2024, TRAI released a Consultation Paper seeking stakeholder feedback on reserve prices for FM Radio channel auctions in 18 cities across Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Jammu & Kashmir. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) has proposed a new 'E' category for these cities, with an Effective Radiated Power (ERP) of 750 Watts to 1 Kilowatt. TRAI is also requested to provide reserve price recommendations for Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh), Rourkela (Odisha), and Rudrapur (Uttarakhand). Comments are due by August 29, 2024, and counter-comments by September 12, 2024.
