The Central Government has granted tax relief to the Himachal Pradesh State Load Despatch Centre, Shimla (PAN: AAAAH7757E), under clause (46) of section 10 of the Income-tax Act, 1961. This exemption applies to income from fees/charges set by the Himachal Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission and interest on bank deposits.

The Centre must not engage in commercial activities, maintain the nature of its income, and file tax returns as required. The notification is effective for the assessment years 2021-2022 through 2023-2024.
