Update to Foreign Company Registration Rules, Effective September 2024.

The Companies (Registration of Foreign Companies) Amendment Rules, 2024, set to take effect on September 9, 2024, introduce two main changes:
1. The term registrar in Rule 3(3) will be updated to “Registrar, Central Registration Centre".
2. A new proviso in Rule 8(1) will require that documents for foreign company registration, as outlined in Rule 3(3), be submitted in Form FC-1 to the Registrar, Central Registration Centre.
