The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, authorized by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, will use Aadhaar authentication on a voluntary basis to verify the identities of individuals registering as local cable operators online. This process will involve a simple Yes/No authentication and will be implemented as soon as it's published in the Official Gazette.
